After getting four letters in my starter word, I thought I might be on for a "two". However, too many options so didn't get the solution until line four

Red letter day (not) today. My first fail. Too many possibilities with the letters that were established. Five perfectly legitimate wrong guesses with at least one other possibility as well as the actual word (which I had considered, but - wrongly - decided was less likely than the other possibilities I tried).
It's not a word I've ever used, but I don't think many people here would, either. I'd considered it as a possible combination of letters and discarded the idea.

two seeds, bad guess, good guess. I knew the word after the seeds but didn't think it was right and so guessed something else. Something which could not possibly have been right if I had slowed down and looked at it.
Way too many possibilities for my solved letters after guess 2, but (since I don't use hard mode) I was able to use a couple Definitely Wrong Words to thin out the possibilities.

Should have done it in three. I knew one letter in my third guess was definitely wrong, but the effect of the results of my third word shifted my mind to the correct answer at fourth. A hard word in my opinion.

Got a bit stuck after finding the first two words, but then completed in eight
Tried out Knotwords today. This is a cross between Sudoku, Wordle and crosswords. It's also unfortunately only available as an app (via Google Play) which doesn't quite suit my device, so deleted it, but if they ever put it on a webpage I'll want to play it.
After row 4 my I was thinking "no, it can't be *that* - could it?" In the end it wasn't but I nearly tried it.
I think I know where you are going with that, but I had eliminated the potentially offending first letter at row three so got the correct (inoffensive!) solution at row four.
