Trouble with Octordle is you can't see them all at once. Though I think these things get easier the more words you have, because each try potentially informs them all. I'm curious why they use a clock to show number of tries greater than ten - as if you're being slow!
I find the more words to solve, the more fun the puzzle. It gets easier, in that once you've done two starter words, there is usually one word that is straightforward to work out from that, which in turn informs the other words. So, in theory, you should often be able to solve it in ten tries, but it needs a lot of patience and forethought! All too easy (for me at least) when flipping between words, to think of a word that fits and just type it in, without considering if there may be other words that fit, and waiting till there is only one possible word. Also easy, with all the switching, and long columns, to fail to notice one of the letters, or put a letter in a space which has previously been ruled out.
I'm experimenting now with trying patience and forethought, forcing myself to do it this way, and I have seven of the words in nine tries, and the last one is harder and is requiring a lot of patience!
Yes, it's possible in ten. Not always, but certainly sometimes. There were a few where I almost got in ten, but I made a careless error, so it would have been possible with more focus, and finally I kept my focus and patience.

I find more often than not that I can get a word after my two starters, and I can fairly often get all words straight off after that, except I will easily make a careless mistake, which stops it being 10. Hence I think, for me at least, the main obstacle is not chance but focus and patience.
For those who thought Octordle was getting a bit silly, check out Sedecordle - sixteen words to solve! I quite like Octordle, but Sedecordle is properly too much - you can't even see the full column of squares for an individual word! In theory, though, if it weren't for all the fiddliness and multitasking, I'd say it should be the easiest, because you have the greatest chance of your starter word(s) revealing one of the words, at least!
Didn't get an answer on guess 11 - didn't have enough constraints to work any of them out for certain, and guessed wrong. Guess 17 was a choice of two anagrams, and I guessed the right one.
I am an idiot. Having got the first three quarters of Quordle, I had yellow squares on the second and fourth letters in the final corner, but I was seeing them as correct, rather than right letter, wrong position.

yeah, it's surprisingly easy to lose your place on this one. This is also where a pen and paper come in handy so you can cross off irrelevant letters for various panels. The "visual keypad" is hopeless. And I picked the wrong anagrams.

But you can have enough. I'm not doing all these every day.
I kind of hate to post this, after posting Sedecordle, but I was googling to see the maximum size of a wordle game, and came across this Reddit discussion about
Argh, Doublethink edited my comment after I did, so it returned to its half-saved self. I was trying to add a link and somehow the comment posted when I hadn't finished, so I edited to finish it, but now it is back to what it was. So I will continue here. The Reddit discussion is about kilordle, which is a thousand Wordles in a game, but you don't do a thousand tries, because the way it works (as you'll see if you read the discussion) is similar to online logic puzzles. Once you've got all the letters in the right place for a word, then that word is counted as solved - you don't have to physically search for the green letters and type in the word. So it's more about being strategic and seeing how few tries you can do it in. My first try was 77, but now I've done it again in 47. It doesn't take as long as you'd think, and is quite fun to play strategically. It's very different from playing Wordle.

Yes, it's totally different from Wordle. The keyboard doesn't colour the used letters, plus it has a random extra u! But the way you play is different anyway. You're not looking to solve the shown words, but to come up with strategic words that will cover lots of words.

Ah okay, fair enough. I'm a touch typer too, but I don't mind a screen keyboard for individual words, plus I was going fairly slowly anyway, as I was thinking and comparing which words would be the most strategic, so fast typing wouldn't have worked so well. I wonder if you might not have got the hang of how the strategy worked, because 177 is a very high score, but it sounds like you wouldn't have enjoyed the strategy anyway.
I'm the opposite, in that I soon got bored of Wordle, just solving individual words, and I guess I'm more interested in the statistics and logic behind these sorts of games, and exploring which letter combinations are most common. Though after playing Kilordle a couple of times, honing the strategy, now I wouldn't want to keep playing it - it's like a one-off thing, where you figure it out and it's interesting, but I don't think I could get my score much lower now.

I wonder if you might not have got the hang of how the strategy worked, because 177 is a very high score, but it sounds like you wouldn't have enjoyed the strategy anyway.
I'm the opposite, in that I soon got bored of Wordle, just solving individual words, and I guess I'm more interested in the statistics and logic behind these sorts of games, and exploring which letter combinations are most common. Though after playing Kilordle a couple of times, honing the strategy, now I wouldn't want to keep playing it - it's like a one-off thing, where you figure it out and it's interesting, but I don't think I could get my score much lower now.
