    I thought the comment about "peering through the fug" was an obvious exaggeration, but I looked at the video on YouTube and by the second half of the Canon the altar is, if not invisible, at least significantly obscured. https://www.youtube.com/live/bZJqn0XD4ok?feature=share&t=3899

    Also apologies for the double comment but it sounds wonderful - a shame Oxford is juuuust slightly too far away to visit regularly, but I didn't know that Blackfriars had public worship (at least I assume this was a public service given the report) and will definitely make a visit at some point if possible.
