    For anybody of a catholic disposition, the thought of individual cups - presumably with remnants of wine - being trashed is deeply depressing. The symbolism of someone following behind to bin the cups is close to parody.

    I’m not so sure, As they offer grape juice, this suggests they don’t have a terribly high view of the sacrament
  • It seems terribly wasteful (and an environmental crime!) to simply throw away the wee cuppies, especially as they're reported as being plastic. It may be that they were collected up, and thoroughly cleaned after the service...
