The Surrender Prayer

in All Saints
I'm praying this as a Novena, currently on Day 8, and plan to continue, as I am finding it very helpful, especially in dealing with anxiety.
Here's a link to an article about the Novena and its simple structure. On each of the nine days there is a paragraph to read, and you then say the words below 10 times. I follow that with a period of silence.
Oh Jesus, I surrender myself to you. Take care of everything.
If you'd like to pray this in synch with me, you are most welcome. I will start day one again on 3 April, and if you see this in time please pray with me. If it's after the 3rd, I will start the Novena again on 12 April.

Yes, my usual prayer is *O God, please help me...* (with the occasional *thank you*...).
Yes, and my orisons are usually accompanied by pain, or by relief that something awkward and/or painful has been accomplished...
Now and then I do remember to ask help/relief/blessing for others...
While the prayer itself and the repetition certainly helps me, I very much like the dialogue for each day, the calling out of behavior which I so identify in myself.
"You are sleepless, you want to judge everything, direct everything and see to everything..."
Nailed it!!! (apologies this easter season)
Love to you all.
Saying it is one thing, really meaning it and letting go of 'everything' is quite another.
My sleepless brain continues to poke at the 'things', over and over, and even brings up 'things' that ceased to bother my conscious mind years ago.
I do recommend getting hold of the full version. I think I posted a link above, but a search will get you there. With running thoughts and sleeplessness, I find that there are times when nothing works. But I also find that by spending time doing a particular prayer routine very much helps in limiting the duration of my distress.
I also occasionally resort to speaking out my prayers and focusing on my lips and tongue, noticing how each word feels coming out of my mouth. That sometimes works.
Then there's the old Catholic Sheep-counting - Speaking out the prayers of the Rosary often works for me, until I puncture myself with my beads and wake myself up!!
