Hopefully, the welcome is still as warm as it was in 2011! The Facebook page shows photos of the church as described in the MW Report, so something of a revival must have taken place, staving off closure and demolition.
This is my town. The church struggles, understandably. It has a Memorial Hall that was put up after WW1 and is beyond repair. They want to pull it down, but people with no connection with the church have been kicking up a fuss. This l8nk suggests the whole site has been bought by something call the Aspirations Trust.

The Aspiration Trust apparently has a large hall with a cafe for hire, and I'm wondering if this is, in fact, the church MWed:

Hmm. Their FB page suggests that it is still a church - baptisms were held earlier this month, at any rate. The page appears to be up-to-date:

It's quite possible, of course, for the building to be multi-purpose, with secular activities as well as worship.
