  • I'm not saying it's not clever. It is. But it doesn't do anything for me. It gets on my wick. Leonard Cohen gets on my wick. Al Stewart gets on my wick. Tolkien gets on my wick.

    Deal with it. 😉

Bugger me. What do you actually like?

As this thread did go to places other than a chord, giving an insight into my YouTube habits, I heard Tallis' Canon played this morning, never knew it was called that, and was transported to the Sydney Anglican [in location and theology] church of my early 20s where the Doxology [?: Praise God from Whom All Blessings Flow] was very, very frequently the last hymn/song. I adore the melody, and have learnt a new hymn from that video.

Are you sure we weren't separated at birth?

    May I have 3 chords?

I was listening to Sumsion's Service in G Benedictus yesterday on a drive which, at least in the recording I have through Spotify, has three quite loud notes, chords I think, between the "and ever shall be" and "world without end". Always gives me a thrill.

Love that Sumsion setting of those Canticles.

I have not heard the others; I will look them up, thanks.
