Sorry to be a thread hog, but just got my MRI results and the knee is like, totally destroyed. I have to have a replacement, but can't get in to an orthopedist before December. Trying to see if this info will change minds at all...
We uphold one another in prayer.
My sister with MS did get home from hospital with a hoist and carers but has just gone back into hospital with what sounds like a colovesical fistula. She is only 61. And our mother is in the same hospital with what I think is senile dementia but they seem reluctant to make a diagnosis.
🙏
Please pray for my daughter, who discovered today that her university admin has messed up and closed her student account before her degree is finished (the work is all done, but the thesis is not yet marked). Apparently this makes it impossible for her to be awarded the Masters degree she has worked for, at least as things stand.

We've got an active TB infection case at church, and it appears to have gotten Mr. Lamb too (having a chest x-ray ASAP to be sure). Mr. Lamb goes everywhere in this community--and may have exposed countless people. Pray?

The health dept is already on the case, thank God. But we have to do something about Mr Lamb's broken dental bridge, which is causing him trouble eating... and we've no guarantee the insurance will pay for the necessary care. It'll be either 6,500 dollars, or 3,200 dollars, depending. Pray?

Definitely!! 🕯
Please pray for Shaun, for healing of an injury. 🕯
Please continue to uphold our F/friends M and K and their daughters. M is in a serious condition and K was called to the hospital last evening. This is hard to bear.
Please could you pray for a vulnerable man of my acquaintance, he has had an extraordinarily difficult life and we are struggling to get him the help he needs.

Update on Sammy. As you will recall he had RSV in February. As he was recovering from that, it was discovered his femur did not fit into the hip. They put him in a brace for several weeks, but it did not work. They did a few xrays and an MRI and could not find the ball of the femur. Last week they used a contrasting fluid with another MRI and found the ball. Apparently, the RSV had eaten the ball of the femur away, but the femur has started to rejuvenate the missing ball, though it is misshapen a bit. They ended up putting him in a cast to see if they can encourage the rejuvenating ball to get into a proper shape. He will be in the cast for about a month and then they will recheck. He still might have to have hip surgery to replace the ball and may even have to have total hip replacement when he is in his 20s.
The case has had the Pediatric Orthopedic Specialist at Seatle Children's Hospital totally mystified. He has been in contact with other specialists around the world concerning the case, and it is being followed quite closely.
Through it all, Sammy has had a very positive disposition. He seldom complains. He has a big brother who dotes over him, and he does not flinch when he sees someone in scrubs coming for him.
We will be going to see him and his family this next weekend.
Thank you for the update on Sammy @Gramps49. Hopefully the cast will sort out the problem, at least for the next few years.
Can I ask for prayers for S a colleague of mine. She's been having health issues for the last few months that seem to be heart related and is awaiting further tests to decide what needs to be done. Also for M, someone with multiple health issues that he and his family make the right decisions about treatment.
For all that need our prayers and cannot ask.
Please pray for J, who is dying tonight by all the signs? I’m not sure whether she has anyone to sit with her—I’m hoping so, though she isn’t conscious. It’s go myself, but I’m stuck home with a virus…
Please pray for Facebook friend Rene B, who is unexpectedly in the hospital on life support and may be taken off of it soon. I didn’t even know he was sick, but it was relatively sudden…
Please pray for several Vietnamese men deported from the St. Louis area, people we have cared for. Two were taken from their parole officers' appointments--one was sent home for now, but the other was asked where he wanted to be deported to and apparently in despair said "Anywhere." And so we have no idea where they took him.
One was deported almost immediately after the death of his elderly mother, of which we have just learned. So he's both grieving and abandoned in a country where he doesn't have the language nor any support at all. And we don't where he is, either.

He’s possibly getting better. Please keep praying. His brother posted that he seemed slightly responsive today (moved toes and gave a thumbs up)! They held off on taking him off life support and are trying to make him more conscious.
