    He does like his subject, doesn't he? But at least you are not left wondering - it is a good thing, but makes the books very long reads.

    There again, I did read and enjoy Moby Dick (all of it). So I am clearly a glutton for punishment.

    Elon seems to have gone quiet. The last interview I saw with him didn’t go that well. OK not awful but not wonderful either. I think people are getting fed up with him.

    The NY Times reported a few days ago that Musk plans to pour a ton of money into the November midterm elections, at least $100 million.

    Elon's side. He might be trying to pay candidates with a reasonable chance who are willing to support his agenda (whatever it is at a given time). Or try to bring down those he sees as opposing him.

    As I am now never tired of saying, Moby Dick is the book that everyone thinks they know, due to the prominence of its skeletal plot in the public consciousness. But then you actually sit down to read it and its like "WTF??"

    On the other hand, $100 million is pocket change to Elon Musk. And I’m sure he can make it deductible.
