Oh NEQ, I'm so sorry. Even though I'm not a Cat Person™, having been the temporary servant of Tabby, the cat who owns a couple of friends, I can totally get why one's fluffy friends are, well, friends.
Last night Aroha used the new litter in her box. For some reason she had refused to use it for a while despite me changing it even when it didn't look used, so I thought I'd try an alternative.
Glad to hear the change was worthwhile Huia! Nothing worse than shelling out for the more expensive option, which is also rejected! I hope Aroha continues to be happy with the new product.
Cats are working in tandem here to be a nuisance. One only eats biscuits, so had to get more in as we'd paused our regular order. The other one in theory only eats wet food, but I am finding that he too is eating the biscuits and I am tossing away about half a single serve tin each day. I suspect he is eating quite a few biscuits, which is why the cat for whom the biscuits are bought, is constantly complaining and asking for new ones. I'm kind of in the routine and it's ok but the constant begging does get to be a bit of a pain.
Have had to discontinue the new litter due to Aroha eating it. I couldn't work out why the were shallow dips in the surface of the litter, then I saw her crunching it.
She's an absolute cuddle bug, but not the brightest cat I've ever had.
Furry friends have been very cuddly of late as winter really kicks off. We have two lovely veloury throws on our lounge. For whatever reason each cat has claimed the orange throw. The olive green throw is acceptable, but orange appears to be the way to go.
Both cats are loving that they can sit in the dining room and soak up the afternoon sun, but are not keen to share the space. At present the compromise appears to be that one takes the floor and the other lies on top of the dining table. Of course today, the routine appears to have changed with fights occurring because they both decided that under the dining table was the place to be. Honestly! I just can't keep up.
We have a large crow family living in a big tree across from our house. Molly was taking her evening stroll with me when she chanced upon a chicken bone at the base of the tree. No doubt a crow drop.
She grabbed it before I could stop her. The battle was on. I pried her mouth open and pulled the bone away from her. The next day repeat. I did not throw it far enough away and she went for it again. Today she walked by looked up where the bone was, now out of her reach, and she did not pull on her lead. She looked at me, put her head down and kept on walking. Good girl.

Sending you and Elizabeth a big, gentle hug. xx
Our Westie is 7 now, and in good health, but I know a time will come…
RIP Elizabeth.
Of course the alternative was more expensive.
