Thanks all for your prayers for us today. All has gone off as well as can be expected. Slow return to normality beginning tomorrow. Really grateful for having known my Mother in Law with her gentle nature and open heart.
So… interview very early tomorrow morning, and this is for a unicorn job. I have another interview for a short, part-time contract that pays less than my current post, as well.
This is a real dangerous corner and I cannot help thinking that getting the job tomorrow would mean the difference between a bright future and a dark one.
Please pray for my colleague who is also out of work in the worst academic job market ever.
Please pay for J, who is on the palliative care pathway in hospital, and her brother M who is finding it very hard - also for our staff who are accompanying her at the hospital.
Please could you also pray for H who is very ill following a major heart attack combined with myriad other health complications. He is Roman Catholic and his faith has always been important to him.

Prayer of thanksgiving for Sammy. He got his hip cast off today and had his first real bath (not the dry rinse kind) since he was three months old. He is now ten months old. He will have a brace on for a month
