@Jengie Jon I'm not surprised your energy levels are low. Please do whatever you need to look after yourself in the midst of all this. I'm thinking about how the safety message on planes is about fitting your own oxygen mask before helping anyone else.
Another member's, more distant friend, husband has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer that has spread to the lymph nodes. You do not need to tell me the prognosis there. Honestly we could do with a break!
I don't know how old this person is, or their circumstances, but my mother is still alive 18 months after diagnosis with pancreatic cancer. The complication in her case was that the cancer couldn't be removed because of its position, likewise meaning that extended survival wasn't expected. This brings its own challenges.
My friend L, that I have written about before, who has stage 4 pancreatic cancer, has just let it be known that he has decided against undergoing chemotherapy, and have only palliative care. I understand why he's doing it, but I grieve for him. Please pray for him, his husband t, and all who care for him.
Just spoken to my parents. I'm sure my mother is deteriorating quite markedly. She can't keep food in her system for any length of time, and is suffering for it. Hopefully, she can at least still retain her supplement long enough to be nourished by it. I'll see her next Saturday, and the truth will be revealed. I'm somewhat apprehensive.

Apparently I'm sleeping at my sister's house because my mum doesn't want anyone else there overnight. Let's just say that she and I don't have a perfect relationship. It's debatable whether we have one at all

My partner had his follow-up scans three months after surgery to remove a cancerous kidney and they came back all clear. He'll meet with the doctor week after next to get the full interpretation, but the radiologist's report looks unequivocally good.

Oh, excellent, @Ruth. I remember what a relief it was when the scans after the chemo couldn’t find any active tumours, which meant much less drastic surgery.

A from church is dying from pancreatic cancer and not expected to make Christmas. His partner, also A, is very upset.
Good news, as good as it gets as you wrote, for S.
