Please prayer for my daughter who has just moved in with her new partner. She will now be living much closer to us (hurrah!). Please pray we will be now not only geographically but also spiritually closer. May we all get together soon!

As ever, prayers ascending for all those here.

For all those living under the shadow of war, abuse, intimidation, wherever you may be.

For those who struggle to maintain hope and those who must reassure and care for others.

May you find that reserve of strength, the support you need in these troubled times.

May dawn, when it breaks, not be a burden, but bring hope.

One of my dearest friends, P, called me today to say she's in the hospital (again). A few months ago, she needed to have her pacemaker battery replaced. She has delicate skin, like so many of us in this age bracket. She was a nurse all her life until she retired, so knew to ask the doctor for a certain type of tape to close the surgical wound. He chose to not do that. A huge piece of skin (about 8 inches by 4 inches) was ripped from her body. She's been going through treatment for the infection that developed. Now, the infection is worse. She has decided to have the pacemaker removed and to not be replaced.

I am devastated, as is my daughter. P was with me when my daughter was born and has been a surrogate aunt to my daughter all her life.

P is ready to leave us. I'm just not ready for her to go.
    Please pray.

Prayers for your friend P @jedijudy and for you and your daughter. I found the loss of an old friend this year and found it harder to take than the loss of my mother. What I think for her doctor is rather too Hellish for All Saints.

Prayers for you @jedijudy and your friend P.
I work as an administrator for a pacemaker clinic (in the UK) and am absolutely appalled by what has happened to P. Does she have the energy/motivation to sue the doctor?

  • Thank you!!! I'm recovering at home and the horrible pain problem is over--now it's like any recovery, i think. I'm sending my husband to Chicago to see hits dying sister. Thank God for an adult son still at home!!!

Glad to hear things are heading the right way, LC.

JJ, prayers for your friend - what she's gone through sounds absolutely horrific!

Prayers also ascending for Caissa's Sherrie and for Jabberwocky.

I asked her exactly that, and she said she will not sue the doctor.
I asked if he at least covered the cost of the procedure. He did not, nor did he contribute to the wound care expenses she's been undergoing all these months.

Thank you all for your prayers. P did ask me to ask for prayers, and I let her know that people all over the world are praying for her.

I am also praying for all mentioned here.

Please pray for comics writer Christopher Mills, who is now (he’s publicly posting about this, so it’s not a secret) moving to hospice/palliative care after a long period of dialysis. (He’s an atheist and does not wish to be told of prayers for him, though he says he appreciates the good will behind them.) He likely does not have long. 🕯
  • 🕯🙏🏼 for all especially @Lamb Chopped, @jedijudy and her friend P, and also @Jabberwocky

Please pray for my patient J, who had to be blue lit to hospital this afternoon with suspected sepsis 🕯
