Seeking a prayer for Mrs Vole in a lot of pain lately and we don't know if it is the MS or the breast cancer rearing it's ugly head after surgery 3 years ago.

Prayers for @RockyRoger and daughter. As I work my way through the aftermath of my mother's death, I'm realising how many layers of estrangement I simply sat on during her lifetime. I don't think it could ever have happened, but I can't help weeping for the relationship that these presented. We could have been far closer than we actually were, since we actually, I think, needed each other, but could never allow the other to really take hold. Especially not after I came out as gay: not because of homophobia, exactly, but because I did not fit in the space allocated to me in her head. Which is a long way of saying that parental estrangement is a concept very close to my heart right now.

I can't imagine the loss of any of my nieces (all in their late 30s/early 40s); it's just not The Right Order of Things. Prayers continuing to ascend for you, Sarasa, and for your family, especially L.
Could you please in your mercy pray for a friend on mine, A, who is seriously ill, as just confirmed on the phone? And who hung up on me, which is very very unusual.
