First his signature will be on all U.S. paper currency and THEN he will issue an Executive Order that any currency that bears his signature belongs to him. The ultimate Golden Parachute.

I assume that there will be pre-Trump notes in circulation from the time the Trump notes start to be circulated. Could recipients simply place them in bank accounts or do many in the USA not have bank accounts to take the accursed things out of circulation. I appreciate there are a lot of poor people in the USA.

No doubt there'll be some bigly megalomaniac event to celebrate his 80th birthday, if he lives to see it...

    Like popping a nuke.

The problem is that banks don't hold onto vast quantities of cash, paying notes into banks will simply get them put into ATMs or handed out in withdrawals over the counter. If they're handed in in too poor a condition they'll be returned to the central bank and replaced with new notes. Putting cash into a bank simply keeps notes in circulation. To get notes out of circulation you need to squirrel them away in a mattress or other wise hold onto them, which is something very few people can afford to do as they will need to spend money almost as fast as they get it.

I think people are better off doing photoshopped or AI desecration of the Trump bills and meming them around the internet.
  • It is galling to think that the bills will become attractive to collectors, especially after they've been withdrawn from circulation. It's a low risk to bet that trump will be hoarding them for sale on the collector market as soon as they are issued.

Can't remember the last time I had currency in my billfold. Was it when the dinosaurs were still around?
