For @Lamb Chopped, peace be upon all at her workplace.
Yeah so the Telemum had a really bad night. The doctor came and said it was an infection, and that the infection was the thing blocking what had initially seemed like improvement; he prescribed antibiotics.
The nurse called and insinuated that maybe it's not an infection and that maybe this is just the way it's going to be.
I'd really just like her to get better.
Also I have to write a thing, and all this [gestures at surroundings] is not really helping.
For the next four years here in the United States, from the 1928 Episcopal Book of Common Prayer:
In Time of Calamity.
O GOD, merciful and compassionate, who art ever ready to hear the prayers of those who put their trust in thee; Graciously hearken to us who call upon thee, and grant us thy help in this our need; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
3:32 PM: Wound care update: Well, the bruise/blister on the heel of my OTHER foot (it has come and gone, over and over, for literally years) started bleeding, though the damage is much shallower than the wounded foot. So that's bandaged as well. The main wounded foot's wound is about the same or maybe smaller (not sure). Prayers welcome. So tired of this.
I’m sure! Praying for you, for @Lamb Chopped, for Telemum, for @Caissa and Ms. C, and all others here.
Today is the 5th anniversary of my heart attack (also on MLK Day five years ago, with the 5th anniversary of bypass surgery this coming Wednesday), as well as the first anniversary of my wife’s mother’s death. Add in the Unfortunate Event in Washington today, and there are many feelings to be had today.

I'm having a meeting with someone at work that concerns my scary situation there. It also concerns some other stuff that is much happier but a bit ... hard to explain. Would you please pray that I know how to say this stuff right, and have the right words, and my listener understands what I'm getting at? I'm super nervous.

The need for several new carers for our grandson, Huxley/ Little Beaky is now urgent.
The jobs are very well paid for that sector but that doesn't always attract the appropriate applicants and that unfortunately doesn't always come to light until people are actually in post as people can and do say all sorts of things in interview!
Our daughter is exhausted and I'm concerned for her so your prayers for the current recruitment drive would be greatly appreciated.
As ever, you are all in my prayers on a daily basis.
Thank you so much for praying for me--I just got out of the meeting, and it's the best possible outcome, and I can sleep tonight. THANK YOU. Thank you, Lord!
So glad for you @Lamb Chopped ; hope you have a good night's rest. @MrsBeaky praying for all the Beakies, that the right people for Huxley will be found soon.
Continuing to pray for all US shipmates.
I’ll be having surgery for trigger finger in the morning. (We have to be there at 6:00 a.m.!) I know it’s a very routine, “easy” surgery, but as my father used to joke, “major surgery is any surgery I’m having.”

Whatever they used to disinfect my hand and arm left my skin an unnatural shade of orange. My wife quipped it makes me look a bit like He Who Must Not Be Named. I assured her I was not amused.

The surgery to remove my chemo port has been scheduled for 9 am Monday. Not very serious, but as was said above, any surgery that's mine is major. So prayers welcome.

Much more minor, but prayers for my recurrent facial cellulitis to finish healing up again would be great. I was taking my antibiotics for it and one particular flareup was getting painful (it’s like a painful pimple) so I lanced it yesterday and it’s unfortunately still not really healed up. Not having any small ones, I have a big Band-Aid on my face and at this point I just don’t want to even go out tomorrow the way I was thinking about. (It’s not contagious or anything, but unsightly.) I also don’t really want to go out tomorrow because it’s freezingly cold here at least for Florida.
(Re the recurrent facial cellulitis, it seems more minor than the ghastly pictures I see online, but that’s what the doctor told me it is. Like painful pimples. I take an antibiotic when it flares up. It hadn’t done so for a while.) (After looking up some pictures of it I realized that mine does not look like that but I can’t believe the doctor would have misdiagnosed this…) (Since my old doctor doesn’t take my new insurance I’ll need to get a new one anyway and I will definitely ask them about this…)

Wishing you well on that.
The paternal Knotweed was hit in the eye by a squash ball yesterday. No broken bones, retina still attached, but there are pools of blood inside the eyeball at present. Assorted drops and ointments being applied, and he's back to the eye hospital on Tuesday to see how it goes. Hopefully it will be draining away without the need for surgery.

@MrsBeaky I hope some carers that are up to the job of caring for Huxley are found very soon.
