The surgery to remove my chemo port has been scheduled for 9 am Monday. Not very serious, but as was said above, any surgery that's mine is major. So prayers welcome.
    Wishing you well on that.

The paternal Knotweed was hit in the eye by a squash ball yesterday. No broken bones, retina still attached, but there are pools of blood inside the eyeball at present. Assorted drops and ointments being applied, and he's back to the eye hospital on Tuesday to see how it goes. Hopefully it will be draining away without the need for surgery.

Much more minor, but prayers for my recurrent facial cellulitis to finish healing up again would be great. I was taking my antibiotics for it and one particular flareup was getting painful (it’s like a painful pimple) so I lanced it yesterday and it’s unfortunately still not really healed up. Not having any small ones, I have a big Band-Aid on my face and at this point I just don’t want to even go out tomorrow the way I was thinking about. (It’s not contagious or anything, but unsightly.) I also don’t really want to go out tomorrow because it’s freezingly cold here at least for Florida.

The face thing was better enough to put a small bandaid on and go out tonight, and I’m glad I did. ❤️

Glad you went out @ChastMastr, and that your face continues to improve.
Can I ask for prayers for K, a friend of my husbands. Things haven't been going very well for them lately and they have dropped out of communication. My husband is heading off to their house this morning to make sure they are OK.

Thank you @ChastMastr. My husband was worried enough to call the police when he went to his friends house. The police phoned back and left a message that seems to suggest K is OK but they can't say any more.

Oh my. Glad they appear okay. 🕯️
  • My friend Doug found (in the cold, it was pitifully meowing to come in) a cat which had a bandage on it (so obviously not a stray); it is not chipped (everyone please chip your pets!) and it is at the animal shelter now. Please pray it is reunited with its family. (He can’t take on any more cats, apart from mine if something happens to me.)

The good news is my chemo port was removed successfully today, and thank you for your prayer.

The bad news is, my brother T is back in the hospital again, with congestion and shortness of breath. I don't know if it's pneumonia again or what. Please pray.

    I’m so sorry! Praying!

It's just after 3.30 pm, Aust Eastern Summer time, Tuesday, not sure how that translates for you. Prayers that all went well and that you're receiving proper nursing care to help you through it.

    Deleted as on wrong thread!
  • Second, or arguably third, day of a respiratory virus. Only gets worrying when I feel like I'm choking. Can't say that this does anything to improve my mood.

Oh Nicole - you absolutely don't need that! Prayers ascending.
  • Please pray for Mrs RR and me this coming weekend. Especially me. It's my daughter's 45th birthday and I would love a closer relationship with her (I was a single parent, so miss the closeness we used to have). Part of our estrangement is I fear spiritual and that in ignoring her Heavenly Father she keeps her human daddy also at a distance.
Mrs RR says I mustn't appear cross or upset ..... which would not help.
    Lord, have mercy!

Thank you for all the prayer support. Life here has been challenging (industrial sabotage, fuel and power shortages, heatwaves and drought)and I have been ill with bronchitis and pneumonia in raging summer heat. Slowly getting better.

    Praying through for all.

My husband found out what happened to his friend when he received a letter from the local prison. K is there on remand, what for I’m not sure. Prayers for him that justice prevail and that my husband supports him not matter what the outcome. I have never met this friend but I know his past has been troubled.
Prayers for @MaryLouise for her own health and for her country.
Prayers for all that need them and cannot ask.

I'll prob get in all sorts of trouble for replying like this in All Saints, but your Heavenly Father has given you an earthly daughter. Your Heavenly Father can look after himself, forget your prejudices, apologise to yr daughter for estrangement, and love her for whoever God has allowed her to be. Without judgment! Which is WWJD.

  • Dude! Super inappropriate when you haven’t the least clue of the circumstances. I’ve been involved in estrangement and near-estrangements, with religious issues involved, and they are not all the same. RockyRoger, may God keep both of you and sort things out in his own time and wisdom.
