My aunt G is about to crumble under the load of several infections, a possible cancer diagnosis, and a very dangerous situation with a stepson. Please pray for her healing and for wisdom to know how to handle the situation. She can't do the cancer test until the other three/four infections are cleared up...
My friend D works for a government laboratory and is justifiably worried about being laid off at any given moment. Please pray for him.
Also my friend M who works in federal service, and for everyone else who works in federal service, as I once did myself, in the wake of this ghastly thing. M is understandably depressed/upset. D is a contractor so may not get the email directly, but is still worried.
I'm used to being the one with the less stable job than my friends who work in or connected to federal service.

I forgot another (and possibly more) friend, T, who works for the US Post Office.
Hello Shipmates, somewhat urgent prayer request. Grandson Huxley/ Little Beaky had surgery today to remove the metal work from his hips. Surgery went well but they've hit a problem with recovery. Just received the following from my daughter:
"Huxley still hasn’t woken up. We’ve been down with him in recovery for over an hour and a half. He’s been out of surgery nearly 3 hours, but he won’t open his eyes. Temp was 33.7 when we first got here, but they’ve got his temp up. Sats and HR are good. Blood sugars is good. But he just won’t wake, and the ward won’t take him until he does."
Just had the following update from my daughter:
"It took 3.5 hours but we finally managed to get him to vocalise a little to show he wasn’t unconscious and they then let him go back to the ward. He was very pale and had high bp.
Took another 1.5 hours but he finally woke up. He’s been very unhappy since and in a lot of pain. Bad seizures too."
Last update for today. Huxley finally settled on the ward, having fallen asleep on his mum's lap. Hopefully she can now get some sleep on the camp bed next to him as she's exhausted now that the adrenaline rush has subsided!

Update on Huxley:
He had a good night's sleep and unless something changes he should be home by tonight to begin his long convalescence. Ongoing prayers for that and especially his pain levels would be very much appreciated.
Thank you to you all
Oh Shipmates I need to ask for urgent prayers again. Our son in law has just had to take
Huxley's 5 year old brother for an MRI scan as the opthalmologist has picked up an urgent cause for concern. We're with the littlest one. I'm so concerned for them all.
Catching up with this thread and praying as I go. Many thanks again for all your prayers for me in recent months, I feel more human as the weather cools to autumn.
We’ve got the expected worries coming up—about five at least of our fathers-and-husbands in the community are now facing a strong likelihood of being deported (and breaking up their families) as the result of stupid teenage stuff they did many years ago and haven’t repeated. One is a pastor who will leave his church pastor-less—a huge concern for an immigrant congregation without a ready supply of pastors to replace him.

Praying for the Beakys!!!
Been very tired lately so taking today off from my Zoom classes. Working on grading and such, as it is needful. I suspect some of the tiredness is due to stress over -- (gestures all around here in the US) -- so prayers for all of us dealing with that, both here and worldwide.

There's a lot of tiredness around at the moment. So pleased today's psalm was 17. Apple of God's eye, safety in the shadow of His wings and all that.......
Difficult relative is difficulting. She's having a bad time with her physical health. I can understand how miserable and frustrating it is, but lashing out at all and sundry is not helping.

It must be ghastly knowing that your livelihood could be taken away on the whim of an evil nutter.

Absolutely.
Oh... how awful. Praying.
