Greetings and good cheer, everyone! I am absolutely thrilled to join your community, and though I am new to this internet community, I will say in advance that I am a kind-hearted and simple, yet forgetful and distractable old fool; and full disclosure, this is my first step, after decades of being a lifelong lurker, into the realm of poster. So I only ask that you bear with me, as I give it the ole college try. I am a lot of things, but stood bare before the all-spirit, the holy high light of Truth, itself, I am the High Fool, or just The Fool, prophet of Humor, and it is my great pleasure and honor, to have this opportunity to engage with you all. I hope to be an avid contributer, and also hopefully, offer any bit of wisdom, comfort or laughter I can. I would readily, and gratefully, accept any and all recomendations, inquiries or requests. Also, I don't know post etiquette, so I apologize if this introduction is unorthodox.
A warm welcome from me @The High Fool. If you haven't done so already have a look at The Ten Commandments of ship's life. Follow those and you can't go far wrong.
Quite a few Quakers on board. I’m a Catholic with lots of links to our local
Meeting through my husband.
I'm just about an atheist, did 6th form in a Quaker School (during which time I arguably once kept wicket for the Quakers - just dangling that maggot to see if anyone bites), and have a hobby dependent on the continuing existence of the CofE - so there are some extremely odd links to the SoF on SoF!
Hello good people. I'm a semi-retired 60-something from Canada, living in San Diego, California. Christ-follower, conservative, married, father of five, grandpappy to three.
That about covers it. I look forward to getting to know folks here.

A warm welcome from me @Mr E. Always good to see new members of the crew. If you haven't done so already have a look at The Ten Commandments, but other than that just enjoy the voyage and look forward to getting to know you better.
This place got a mention in a subReddit thread for being a good place for discussion of Christianity, -religion and politics, so on that basis I thought I'd check it out. What I didn't know, but have now discovered is a predominant anti-American bent in general and decidedly anti-Trump manic tilt. But hey! That's okay! Each to their own.
It's a big ship, right? I'm happy to help right the ship.
As an American, and long-time host of the Heaven Board, I will say I feel very loved and welcomed on this Ship! And you will find people of all political perspectives here, and I think we all feel free to express our thoughts and views.
Again, welcome, and I hope you find some stimulating conversations here.

I think you may have already been pointed in the direction of The Ship's Ten Commandments, but if not follow the link.

Celtic! But not tribally so. (Or at least, I am trying to spiritually discipline myself away from the tribalism...)

Wonderful! I have been a Quaker since early in 2023 - it's been a long journey to here! I wonder how many Quakers are on the ship?

Mr E, there are threads on the Ship for discussing politics, and this isn't one of them.
Political discourse should be in either Purgatory (for general discussion) or Hell (for venting).
All Saints is for support, prayer requests and community matters.
Thank you.

Understood. Thanks
