Thank you for your prayers. The operation went ahead and they say it went well (I was asleep, so what do I know?). I was kept in overnight, which was unexpected and for which I wasn’t prepared, but got home again today, and had a contented cat snoozing on my plastered leg. So now I have 6-8 weeks of sitting around ahead of me, and a few projects I have planned for this time.
Please pray for my daughter, Al, suffering with a time of serious depression, and her new partner (As), who is doing her best to cope. The big D is, alas, a family thing, so I know what she is going through and Mrs RR can offer good advice in this situation, but I feel gutted that the evil one should attack just when A and A had found each other and had everything to look forward to. Lord, have mercy.

Thanks for all who prayed. The operation (to replace my rising aorta - valve, root and stem) appears to have been successful. It lasted around 5 hoursI was discharged today to live at home and continue he next stages of recovery - healing of the incision and rebuilding body strength .

My friend S is now home and I am going to see her next week to celebrate her birthday. I'm just hoping she reports she is now getting the help she needs.

Please pray for D, an esteemed pastor and best friend. We have been soulmates for many years; now, the same age as me, he has similar heart problems compounded by scarring of the lungs.
He is becoming more and more breathless and tired and struggling physically. To make matters worse, his beloved football team, Crystal Palace, have lost their last two games. LHM.
D has been a wonderful inspiration and support to me; Please pray I know best how to support him as he feels, like me, he's now 'In the waiting room'.

Prayers for the repose of the soul of the person hit by the train I was on today. The staff were excellent at keeping us informed but it was a horrible thing to have happened.
Prayers for me, I managed to fall off the kerb while shopping with my friend and have bashed my knee and ricked my ankle and both are rather painful. I have a lot on this week and could do with them getting better pronto. I didn't even have the excuse of a boozy lunch.

Just to say friends nieces are safely home. The family is now in another crisis but that one is over. If you could pray for my friend T and that she might have time for herself to do things like sleep in her own flat.
I am simply overwhelmed with school stuff this semester and it’s the end of the semester and now and I’ve got to get everything done. I’ve been looking back and realizing that this semester, I’ve actually been dealing with a whole lot of stuff, a whole lot of which I haven’t been posting about here, but I have been posting about on Facebook. I was thinking I was just being lazy or something. Please please pray that I get this done, that I don’t get in trouble for being so behind with the colleges at which I teach, and that I get it all done and also that I get enough classes for summer to survive, because I’m worried about that too.
Amen and amen. Please pray for Miss RR, lately divorced, with a new (and lovely) partner but, with all this change and trauma (it runs in the family) is now severely depressed.

As a veteran faller-over, I can recommend Ibuprofen gel (assuming you're OK with it) for easing swelling and ouchiness.
