Please keep doing that (I know you do, I'm just messed up right now). Rossweisse has just gone into hospice. She is at home, and I hope to see her tomorrow. She is in bed all day now. But she is with her kitties, and obviously the Lord. And no doubt flocks of orneries.
I saw her this morning. She is quite weak but can still talk, though it is difficult sometimes to understand, I think due to dry mouth. She is not able to eat much, and falls asleep with little warning. The kitties are on duty, often on the bed curled up with her. They have the sneaky habit of attempting to drink from her water glass, which is why she asks aides to keep it only half full.
I am not sure that she will be able to access the Ship again on her own--I am printing out all your posts, both here and on the prayer thread, which is easier for her to read. She has given me several short responses which I will post in a bit from my notes. The gist of it is, she loves you all and thanks you, and is so glad to hear from you.
The Ride of the Valkyries—orchestral only, I’m afraid—has just played on the local classical music radio station. Prayers for Rossweisse compensated, I hope, for the missing Hojotohos! and Heiahas!
Our younger daughter Lisa begins chemotherapy for breast cancer tomorrow. Therapy - chemo-radio and hormonal will last a year. A rough year. She is in good spirits and has support from her husband and church (and, she says her dogs, cats and fish). But we cannot see her or be with her. We can only talk on the phone and pray.
So any spare prayers are most welcome!
Prayers ascending for Lisa and those who love her.
Thank you who who have prayed for me and and for others.
Hurray! In the presence of the Real Thing™ these promised notes are perhaps a bit late, but I'll put them up. Please bear in mind that I am partly deaf and may have missed something, and please nobody get their feelings hurt if not mentioned by name, as it's now a major challenge for Ross even without my poor hearing.
Here goes:
First, thanks and love to EVERYBODY.
Give my love to my AOL buddy.
Thanks to all lovers of cats, who are being good feline ministers to the sick.
Thank you, Cousin Nick!
Margaret, I'd love to hear from you.
Thanks to PG for the battle-cry. Yes, it made me smile.
The orneries have gone south or something.
Thank you to Galilit and Kyzyl.
Mamacita, I'm expecting you to Mystery Worship my service when it finally happens after the pandemic allows.
I just want to be done with the pain and discomfort.
Jedi Judy, I'm being well cared for by the FMS.
LC, don't argue with me, add yourself to the list of thanks OR ELSE.

Lighting a candle.
Rossweisse is daily in my thoughts, and I'm grateful to have had a chance to Zoom with her a few weeks ago. May her pathway be an easy one.
